The short version

This website does not collect personal data. There are no forms, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and we set no cookies. What you do on this site stays in your browser.

The VIN checker

When you decode a VIN, your browser sends it directly to the vPIC decoding service run by the NHTSA (the U.S. Department of Transportation). The request goes from your device to theirs — it does not pass through our servers, and we never see, store, or log the VIN or the result. If you want to know how NHTSA handles requests, see their own site at nhtsa.gov.

Hosting

The site is served by our hosting provider, which may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP address, time, and requested page) for security and operations, as almost every host does. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

If you contact us

If you email or call us, we will use your contact details only to reply and to handle your request. We do not sell or share them, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Since the site collects nothing, changes should be rare.
